《外教社博学文库:叶芝中期抒情诗中的戏剧化叙事策略》以叶芝1914-1933年间出版的五部诗集为研究对象,分析并论述了诗人选择戏剧化呈现的原因,提出作为中期作品的主导艺术形式,戏剧化手段的形式意义和文化诗学价值在于,它既强化了作者和诗歌说话者间的区别,顺应了现代诗人寻求“非私人化”表达方式的创作趋势,又契合了叶芝捍卫诗人及现代人的主体地位,旨在实现“存在的统一”的诗学观和哲学立场,将个人情感和公共知识、诗歌的道德教诲和表现功能、作者引退和介入作品等因素熔于一炉,使作者得以兼收并蓄,继承开更新英语诗歌的浪漫主义传统。
