The book is an important academic outcome of the 2016 Symposium on the International Developments and China's Diplomacy themed "Major-Country Diplomacy with Chinese Characteristics and New Chapter of Global Governance"， which was co-sponsored by China Institute of lnternational Studies (CIIS) and China Foundation for Intemational Studies
(CFIS). Presenting inspiring ideas and insights of renowned Chinese IR scholars and senior diplomats on international issues and China's foreign affairs， the book gathers 25 papers organized around six themes， i.e.， Overview， New Changes in Intemational Situation， Chinese Diplomacy， Countries and Regions， World Economy， and the Belt and Road Initiative. Each part contains not only a few significant papers but also some thought-provoking discussions and analyses on current hot-spot issues. Collectively， they have elaborated on the development of international situation and China's dynamic diplomacy in an all-round manner.
